A Tangled Web

Roydon and Lucy thought last year’s tangle with organised crime was a one off. Now they find they are back in the thick of it. When Lucy’s marriage hits a bump, she turns to hard drinking ex journalist Roydon for support. She joins him and his cat, Kitty, on board his battered boat in historic Galaxidi. The chalk and cheese friends are expecting a quiet few weeks doing nothing more taxing than sampling the delicious tapas in the local bars. But a modern day Zorba, in the guise of new friend Hercules, has other ideas, and draws them into the suspicious drowning of an elderly fisherman. Was the octogenarian’s death really a tragic accident as his friend of sixty years claims, or is there some other more dramatic explanation? And who is the glamorous Suzanna? Why has her English boyfriend, Steve, gone back to Britain so abruptly, leaving her stranded on the town quay alone in her expensive new yacht? Why does she need to get home to Malta so urgently? Is she a damsel in distress, or something much more sinister? Roydon and Lucy again become enveloped in a mysterious world where nothing is quite as it seems.
